The Irmo Okra Strut Scholarship
This scholarship is a joint effort co-sponsored by the Okra Strut Commission and the Lake Murray-Irmo Woman's Club. Each year, we award $2,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from both Irmo High School and Dutch Fork High School.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the scholarship, an applicant must meet the following criteria:

Be a current graduating senior at either Irmo High School or Dutch Fork High School.

Plan to attend an accredited post-secondary institution (college, university, or technical school) in the fall of their graduating year.
How to Apply

Locate the Application: During the application window (typically opening early in the new year), forms can be downloaded directly from the Lake Murray-Irmo Woman's Club website or picked up from the student's high school guidance counselor's office.

Submit to Guidance: Completed application packets are not mailed directly to the commission; instead, students must return them directly to their high school guidance counselor.

Deadlines: The deadline strictly lands in mid-March. For the recent 2026 cycle, applications were due by March 13, 2026, with winners announced in mid-May.
